The penultimate day of racing in China ended in the predicted bunch sprint on stage 12 of the Tour of Qinghai Lake.

Zhi Hui Jiang got amongst the sprint finale once more, but a hectic run to the finish meant that the 25-year-old could only manage 17th in the kick for the line.

The flat circuit around Zhongwei  meant there were no changes in the general classification with Colombian Brayan Chaves maintiaining his top-20 placing overall, while the squad hold onto their lead in the best Chinese team classification.

Tomorrow’s final stage is another circuit for the peloton to face, with a 117-kilometre course around the West Lake in Yinchuan.
